According to the latest weather report, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has warned that the region is likely to witness thundery rain along with sudden strong winds on Monday.
The weather report said that the offshore areas are expected to witness thundershowers and windy conditions on Monday along with high seas.
QMD also stated that southeasterly-northeasterly winds will blow both inshore and offshore at speeds of 8-18 knots, going up to 30 knots with thundery rain, while the sea level is likely to rise to 9ft. The weather report says that hazy and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions will also be seen in inshore and there is a chance of light rain in the region, which may become thundery in some places at times.
The offshore weather conditions will also be expected with the same weather conditions on Monday
In a tweet yesterday evening, QMD said that the cloud amount is expected to gradually increase in Qatar’s airspace during the night time, and scattered rain will be expected across the country that may be thundery and can come along with the sudden strong winds at times, until Tuesday. The temperature is also likely to vary between 26 and 33C in Doha today.
