Qatar Confirms 8 New Cases of Coronavirus Today, Total is 460

The Ministry of Pulic Health (MoPH) in Qatar announced 8 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) today, March 22. Sum of cases is now 460.



The newly ndentified cases are: 6 expatriate workers and two Qataris who returned from Italy and UK. All of them are currently under quarantine.

There are 6 patients who recovered from the virus, 4 of them are expatriate workers and 2 are Qatari nationals.

Those returning from other countries will have complete isolation at their homes upon their request after taking preliminary medical examinations confirming they virus free. They are required to sign an affidavit to follow a set of rules and regulations. Non compliance will be subject for strict legal procedures.

The spread of coronavirus in Qatar has been observed to be mostly affecting expatriate workers and Qataris coming from abroad.
