Qatar announces 11 new coronavirus cases

11 more test positive for COVID-19 in Qatar, taking total to 537

Ministry of Public Health today announced 11 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Qatar, while 41 people have now recovered.

Some of the new cases of infection are related to the travelers who came recently to Qatar and others belong to people in contact with infected cases, including 5 cases of Qatari citizens.

The MoPH said it’s continuing necessary checks for all returning citizens and all those involved with affected cases.

The Ministry of Public Health is tracing those in contact with new cases and checking all citizens who have recently returned to Qatar.

While the coronavirus pandemic is sweeping across the world overwhelming an already strained global heathcare system, Qatar seems to be in a fairly solid position to deal with the virus with its army of doctors.

The country has the best healthcare system in world in terms of the doctors per capita, according to worldatlas.com.

Qatar has 77.4 physicians per 10,000 people (7.74 per 1,000 people) followed by Monaco (71.7), Cuba (67.2), Greece, San Marino (54, 51), Spain (49.5), and Austria (48.3).
