PHCC Celebrates Receiving Diamond Level Accreditation

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) today celebrated receiving the Diamond level accreditation and first in the world, People Centred Care Commitment award by Accreditation Canada.

The People Centred Care award distinguishes corporations that demonstrate quality and excellence in the design and delivery of patient centred health care, with PHCC being the first recipient of the People-Centred Care (PCC) Commitment Award internationally.

An online virtual ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari and managing director of PHCC Dr Mariam Abdul Malik.

Speaking during the event, HE Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari noted that this remarkable achievement was made possible thanks to the State's unlimited capabilities and support to the health sector, in addition to the commitment and enthusiasm of the teams involved in gaining the achievement.

 

"Achieving this accreditation is testament to the tireless efforts of the PHCC team and the dedication to achieving the highest standard of care for our communities. The corporation has demonstrated its commitment to delivering the most efficient and compassionate care during a challenging period for healthcare internationally," said HE the Minister of Public Health.

Commenting on the achievement managing director of PHCC Dr Mariam Abdul Malik said, "Receiving this award reflects the values of PHCC, it recognises the exemplary efforts by the staff in ensuring that we are delivering effective, high quality care to our patients."

She added that the corporation continues to work hard to maintain excellence in all its services, to deliver care that understands and exceed patients' expectations.
