MOPH announces New Measures to Receive Vaccination during Ramadan at QNCC

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) recently announced various new measures to improve the entry and waiting process for patients who wishes to receive their vaccination against coronavirus (Covid-19) at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
To avoid exposure to the high outdoor temperatures and offer a safe waiting area for all, the center's main parking spots are now being utilized as a point of arrival at the vaccination center.
MoPH had earlier highlighted that Covid-19 vaccine is only given to people who have got an invitation to receive theor vaccination and who have met the criteria set forth in the framework of the national programme for vaccination against Covid-19.
All individuals will receive an SMS showing the time and date of their scheduled appointment and must be able to show their valid QID card when they come in for the vaccinatiom. The vaccination center's working hours are from 7am to 10pm, seven days each week.
Earlier, the Ministry had also announced that children below the age of 16 are not permitted to enter QNCC. MoPH’s Pharmacy and Drug Control Department has currently approved the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine for use only for people aged 16 years and above and Moderna vaccine for adults aged 18 years and older.
