Labour Ministry announces summer working hours in open workplaces

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs has reported that special working hours in open working environments during summer will be effective until August 31 and warned of strict activity against organizations who don't comply. 

The decision, Ministerial decision No (16) of 2007, stipulates that beginning from June 15 to August 31, the work done under the sun or in open work environments must not be longer than five hours in the morning and must stop between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. 

Employers are required to set working hours timetable as per the choice. The timetable ought to be set in a clearly noticeable area where all workers can see and labor inspectors can without much of a stretch spot during their investigation visits. 


The Ministry approached the owners of establishments to regard the provisions of the choice, focusing on that inspectors will lead field visits on the sites to guarantee compliance with the arrangements of the decision. 

The Ministry additionally called upon those concerned in the organizations and different sectors  to consider the states of the specialists and working conditions as per the recommended controls.
