Few more entities in Qatar removes French products in boycott over insulting cartoons of Prophet

In protest against the insulting graffiti about the Messenger - may blessings and peace be upon him, More shopping centres announced Sunday the removal of all French products from their markets and branches. 

The Approved Market in Aspire Zone, the Khulud Pharmacy and Le Tran Blue Restaurant are the latest firms that have announced withdrawal of French products from their respective concerns.

 

Earlier this week, Qatar Shopping Complex hypermarket, Souq Al Baladi and the Family Food Centre, in separate statements, said they would pull all French products from their shelves. Delivery apps Snoonu and QTamween have also joined the movement by de-listing French products.

On Friday, Qatari supermarket chain Al Meera announced withdrawal of French products from all its branches. The same day also saw Qatar University announcing the indefinite postponement of a French Cultural Week scheduled to be held on the campus.
