Al Wakra Municipality destroyed 100kg of fish for being unfit for consumption

100kg of fish destroyed by veterinary doctors of Health Monitoring Section at Al Wakra Municipality for being unfit for  human consumption. The  stock was found unfit for  consumption while they conduct the inspection at the auction ground of Al Wakra Fish Market. 

This  happens because of high temperatures  during the summer, improper  storage due to less ice kept to cover the fish.

In the mean time, the inspectors of Health Monitoring Section of Al Daayen Municipality did 260 assessment visits on nourishment outlets in May. 

In the activity, four infringement of the arrangements of Law No. (8) of 1990 directing the observing of human sustenance were recorded. 

Four violations of the provisions of Law No. (8) of 1990 regulating the monitoring of human food were recorded.

 

Also the  inspectors  implemented 4  inspection campaigns on traditional foods (locally called Matabikh Shabiya), restaurants, commercial complexes, and sweet shops. 

The inspectors issued 55 warnings and took 7 acknowledgments to correct the circumstance in meeting the health requirements for food.

Al Wakra Municipality represented by the Municipal Monitoring Department carried out a campaign to remove unknown waste in Aba Salil area in cooperation with the General Cleanliness Department and various local organizations.
