World's Highest per capita income, Third largest oil and natural gas reserves, The richest country of the world, QATAR is a growing power of the world in the present say scenario. For all this success and growth, the major contribution is made by Al Thani Family, the Royal Qatar Family.
 
The Al Thani family is the oldest ruling family in Qatar, ruling family since 18th century. So it's not astonishing that there's no one even close to them in terms of power. They are the only family ruling for so long without any conflicts.
 
Qatar’s royal family currently already owns more property in London than England’s Royal family. Once completed, their new home is expected to be London’s most expensive, with a worth of £313 million.
 
Qatar has been ruled by 9 Al Thani Sheikhs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Thani being the first one in 1850.
 
Achievements:
 
•HH, The Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani (1995–2013) - A smart ruler who, along with developing the oil and gas reserves, invested in numerous projects like Volkswagen, Total etc.
 
He opened one of the state’s most successful business ventures, the first pan-Arab satellite news channel, Al-Jazeera.
 
•HH The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (2013–present) - He was appointed as Qatar’s Heir Apparent on 5 August 2003 when his elder brother Sheikh Jasim renounced his claim to the title. He became Emir of Qatar on 25 June 2013. In 2006, he chaired the organising committee of the 15th Asian Games in Doha. 
 
Under his leadership, Qatar won the rights to host the 2014 FINA Swimming World Championships. Emir Tamim is a member of the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee chairman. He was the chairperson of the Qatar's bidding committee for hosting of FIFA World Cup 2022 and successfully grabbed the opportunity to become the first Arab nation to host FIFA.
 
•HH Sheikha Mozah bin Nasser Al Missned - second of the three wives of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, serves as Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), a private non-profit organisation founded in 1995. Sheikha Mozah plays an active role with the United Nations (UN) to support global education. One of the Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women.
 
The Royal Family has a tremendous contribution in Qatar's development and making it a renowned nation.
