The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) said that Qatar and the FIFA will keep cooperating to examine a potential extension of the World Cup in 2022 to 48 groups, while deciding if a feasible working model does exist and whether it is in the best enthusiasm for the football and for the competition and for Qatar as the host country. 

In an announcement today, the SC included any choice this issue will be in meeting among FIFA and Qatar and with its assent. 

 

At a public interview prior today, FIFA President Gianni Infantino portrayed the choice to raise the quantity of groups taking an interest in the 2022 World Cup finals as difficult, including this sprinkle ought to be considered cautiously and in participation with Qatar.
