GTA Announces Extension of Companies Registration on Online "Dhareeba" Portal until End of 2020

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has announced a further extension for the registration period for taxpayers and their representatives on the "Dhareeba" Tax Portal, so that the deadline for registration is December 31, 2020.

This is to facilitate the companies in charge of reconciling their positions and completing the registration process in the "Dhareeba" Tax Portal, which was launched during the current year.

The Authority has approved the extension of registration to make it easier for companies and taxpayers, especially under the current health conditions and the continued application of precautionary measures to curb the spread of the virus, (COVID-19) and that after the Authority had set the date of September 30 as the deadline for registration in the portal.

GTA also calls upon all persons who engage in economic activities to register on the online portal, including owners of home projects with commercial licenses It also announced the shutdown of the Tax Administration System (TAS), and all tax data and services are now available through the Dhareeba Tax Portal.

What is Dhareeba System?

It’s an electronic system that connects the General Tax Authority and its partners from the relevant government agencies and taxpayers. It automatically calculates and process the various types of tax to assist taxpayers in managing their tax transactions, in accordance with the Qatari tax laws.
