Pakistan will retaliate if India attacks: Imran Khan

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said his nation will have no other choice to counter if India takes up arms against it in the wake of the February 14 suicide shelling in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 40 CRPF troopers.

"In the event that you (Indian government) figure you will assault us and we won't consider retaliating, we will counter. We will have no other choice other than retaliating. We as a whole know beginning a war is simple ... Where it will lead us, just God knows," Khan said in an across the country communicate.

Khan said the Indian government reprimanded Pakistan for the Pulwama assault with no proof and demanded that the issue must be settled through discourse.

"What might Pakistan profit by it? For what reason would Pakistan do a wonder such as this when it has been moving towards harmony. It is to our greatest advantage that no one from our dirt spreads savagery. I need to tell the Indian government that we will make a move if proof is found against anybody from Pakistan," he said.

Khan's reaction came after New Delhi considered Islamabad in charge of the assault in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama region that was asserted by the Pakistani-based Jaish-e-Mohammed..
