A Facebook video made by an Emirati man has been making the rounds on social media, earning praises from Filipinos, especially from migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).


The short clip was created by Khalid Al Ameri and uploaded on his Facebook account. Within two hours, the video has gone viral and widely shared by Pinoys across all social media platforms.

In the clip, Khalid paid tribute to Filipinos who helped him create the series of videos featuring many things about the UAE over the past two months.

Khalid said that in his endeavor, he gets to meet and work with several Pinoys including technicians, artists, workers and educators, among many others.

“Filipinos who are contributing to all aspects of society in the UAE,” said Khalid. “And I wanna thank them for one thing in particular.”

The Emirati social media influencer said he knew about the tag line of the Philippines – ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’.

And this is precisely what many Filipinos brought to his country – their joy of life, kindness and the ability to smile no matter what.

He ended his video by thanking the kababayans: “From my family, and in behalf of my country, I say ‘Maraming salamat po’.”
