She Has 102 Years, Smokes At Least 20 Cigarettes Per Day And Drinks Wine Everyday, And Here Is The Secret To Her Longevity And Good Health

Maisie Streng is a 102-years old grandmother from Glasgow whose lifestyle differs from anything doctors recommend. For the last 75 years, Maisie smokes more than 20 cigarettes a day, and drinks a glass of wine before going to bed. She also has another “vice” – according to her son Sandy, Maisie loves eating bananas.

 

She started smoking frantically while working at the Daily Express in her youth, and only stopped it twice in her life – the first time she managed to go for 5 weeks without a cigarette, while the second time was when she injured her thing and had to stay at a hospital. She immediately went back to smoking both times. “Somehow it’s absurd to think of the many people who smoke for a while and therefore have health problems. My mother is a paradox,” Sandy says. Maisie’s husband was a physical education teacher and was always in tip-top shape. He never smoked and still died at 65. On the other hand, Maisie is a smoker and has no health problems at all. “She looks a lot less than 102. On a good day, she can pass for her late 70s, early 80s,” Sandy says about his mother.

  

Maisie’s other obsession are bananas. She started eating them at work when she faced deadlines and didn’t have a lot of time for lunch. Her quick meals were bananas, and the habit stayed with her until today. Considering her incredible health even with being a smoker, we must ask ourselves if it’s because of the bananas. We recommend eating more of this delicious tropical fruit and avoiding smoking just to be safe.
