Uranus to be in Superior Conjunction with sun on Wednesday

The Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced that planet Uranus will be in Superior Conjunction with the sun this Wednesday (April 18) around 05:35 Pm Doha local time.

The center of three celestial objects comprising of the Sun, Earth, and Uranus will be aligned on straight line, with the Sun in the middle of Uranus and Earth.


Astronomer expert Dr. Beshir Marzouk stated that planet will reach the farthest point from the Earth during conjunction with Sun; with the distance between Uranus and Earth being 3.12 billion Kilometers. 

He added that this phenomenon as it marks the end of Uranus's apparition in the evening sky.

It may be mentioned that the superior conjunction of Uranus occurs once every year during April.

The the next superior conjunction of Uranus with Sun will be on April 23 next year., pointed out Dr. Beshir Marzouk.
