Three planets Approaching Moon during September

Qatar residents and all Arabic area countries residents will be seeing and observing four planets of our solar system (Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus) over sky during September 2018, moreover, three planets of them will be close to the Moon at different times during September 2018, Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced.

These astronomical phenomena are very important because it's guide for amateur astronomers to know map of sky during this month, and validate the astronomical calculations.

 

 

The giant planet "Jupiter" will be coming close to Moon on Friday, September 14; where it will be at angular distance four degrees southern Moon's center. Qatar residents will be able to observe Jupiter and Moon together with naked eyes over western horizon of Qatar sky after sunset time till the time set of Jupiter; where Sunset time on Qatar sky will be at 5:40 Pm, while the time set of Jupiter will be at 8:37 Pm Doha local time. Astronomer expert at QCH Dr. Beshir Marzouk said.

On Monday, September 17, Qatar residents will have a good chance to see the planet with a beautiful rings "Saturn" approaching Moon; moreover, Saturn will be at two degrees southern Moon's center. Qatar resident will be seeing and observing Saturn and Moon together with naked eyes over southwest horizon of Qatar sky from sunset time till the time set of Saturn; added, the sunset time over Qatar sky on Monday will be at 5:38 Pm, while the time set of Saturn will be at 11:16 Pm Doha local time. Dr. Beshir Marzouk added.

Finally, on Thursday, September 20, the red planet "Mars" will be at five degrees southern Moon's center over southeast direction of Qatar sky, moreover. Qatar residents will have chance to see Mars and Moon together with naked eye over southeast horizon from Sunset time over Qatar sky till the time set of Mars; where the sunset time on Thursday will be at 5:34 Pm, while the time set of Mars on Friday will be at 01:12 Am Doha local time.
