VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for Quality Control Support for one of its clients which is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company in Qatar with the following terms and conditions.

Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

Educational qualifications:

 

UG or PG degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

Certification in Software Testing

 

Experience:

 

  • 6 to 10 years of experience

  • 3 to 4 years in IT sector especially in Banking platform

  • 2 to 3 years in software testing tools

  • 4 to 5 years in Equation Core Banking system (involvement in Misys core banking system upgrades)

 Role Objective

 Responsibility for performing quality control and assurance activities across the Divisions within the Bank, defined in standards of COBIT, ITIL etc. Conducting of verification and validation of systems/products/applications to monitor and report their adherence to Bank’s IT standards and procedures.

 

Detailed roles and responsibilities:

 

Financial

 

  • Work with the IT Governance Manager to improve the effectiveness of quality control, assurance and testing processes to achieve optimal results with minimal costs.

 

Customer

 

  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all Divisions to understand and address their business needs and achieve the Division’s goals/ objectives · Act as the subject matter expert to provide leadership to staff regarding quality assurance practices and Banking Regulation and IT Guidelines

 

Internal

 

  • Assisting the IT Governance Manager in developing and implementing quality management policies, procedures and standards including system documentation, naming conventions, security, backup and data recovery

  • Ensure quality and consistency in all activities that you are involved in across the Bank in applications, systems and IT operations

  • Discuss Quality Assurance reports with Manager on a timely basis to build a good understanding of activity / projects happening across the organization

  • Ensure that the deliverables produced at the end of each phase of activity comply with user requirements

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures relevant to the IT Division through periodic testing

  • Work with the Manager to ensure the implementation of appropriate change management procedures to govern the movement of Technology projects from test to a live production environment

  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information

  • Provide timely and accurate information to the management, external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required

  • Perform QC testing of systems/products/applications before UAT

  • Coordinate with business users/owners till successful completion of UAT

  • Promotion of systems/products/applications across various environments in its life-cycle using change and configuration management tools

  • Maintenance of test environments and preparation of test bed to conduct QC test and UAT for all non-core banking application like HPS, IB, MB, WPM, WPS, AML, EBA, ECC, etc

 Operate as a team player within the Quality Assurance team and across the wider IT division. Share knowledge with others to strengthen capability of the team Maintain a focus on self-development by spending time reading and researching competitor activity, recent innovations and best practice
