Job Description

Job Summary:

Senior tax specialists work to ensure that a company's taxes are all taken care of. Must respond to tax laws which are constantly changing. Assist in preparing periodic tax provisions and performing tax accounting duties.


Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all up to date Tax account reconciliations within the Group of companies.

  • Ensuring that tax returns are filed in timely manner in accordance with tax authorities.

  • Researching & Review Tax laws and relevant regulations to maintain up to date knowledge and provide expert knowledge.

  • Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise.

  • Coordinate with auditors in tax portion of annual-end audit.

  • Participate in process development and coordinate with business units along with tax systems and process improvement.

  • Supervise & tax Consultation on special projects as allocated by Line manager from time to time.

  • Advise global companies on the tax implications of their acquisitions, restructurings, initial public offerings, refinancing or disposals.

  • Ensure to file appropriate international tax returns to suitable tax authority/tax regime.

  • Prepare select Federal compliance relating to international subsidiaries, including but not limited to foreign tax credit calculations.

  • Independently seek out new opportunities to improve the overall quality of filings.



  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance related field

  • Professional qualification / certification, e.g. CA

  • 6-8 years experience



  • Excellent knowledge & Awareness of Qatar and GCC tax laws, rules and regulations.Good knowledge and abilities to handle difficult situation and conversations.

  • Excellent communication skills - experience explaining complicated issues to people and pursue them to collaborate.

  • Experience in prepare executive level presentations to clearly articulate results of complex mathematical analyses.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic and English proficiency is a must.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is a must, ERP and Hyperion experience is preferred.
