Laganap pa rin ang coronavirus (COVID-19) sa buong mundo, at ayon sa Philippine Airlines at ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas, mahalagang sundin ang mga sumusunod na gabay upang mapanatiling ligtas laban sa virus habang nasa byahe, kung kayo ay uuwi o aalis ng Pilipinas mula abroad.

Do I need to register before my flight?

• If you are departing from the Philippines, some countries require you to register or fill out an online form. Click here for more information.

• If you are arriving in the Philippines, you must register according to your traveler type and destination:

• For Non-OFWs arriving in Manila, register as early as 3 days before departure at https://bit.ly/MNLPALeCIF

• For OFWs arriving in Manila, register as early as 3 days before departure at https://bit.ly/MNLRedCrosseCIF

• For passengers arriving in Cebu, register as early as 5 days before departure at https://bit.ly/CEBRegForm

• For passengers arriving in Clark, download, print, and fill out the Case Investigation Form for submission upon arrival.

• If you are traveling on a PAL domestic flight, register as early as 5 days before departure via the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration (PPHD) Form at https://bit.ly/PALDomPPHD.

Do I need to book a quarantine hotel?

If you are departing from the Philippines, your country of destination may require you to book a hotel for your quarantine stay and for a specific number of days. Click here for more information.

If you are arriving in the Philippines, you must undergo an RT-PCR test upon arrival and you must book a hotel accredited by tourism and health agencies of the Philippines while you wait for test results to be released. Your booking must be for at least 2 days and at your own expense.

• For passengers arriving in Manila, you may book at a hotel within Metro Manila only.

• If you are an OFW arriving at any of these airports, your booking shall be arranged and shouldered by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) or your Local Manning Agency (LMA).

Do I need to take a rapid or swab test?

If you are departing from the Philippines, a number of countries require passengers to secure a negative RT-PCR test result taken at a specified number of hours before departure to ensure its validity. If you are arriving in the Philippines, you are required to take an RT-PCR test upon arrival and at your own expense. For OFWs, this may be shouldered by the Philippine government.

If you are traveling within the Philippines, certain Local Government Units (LGUs) require you to secure a negative rapid test or RT-PCR test result taken at a specified number of hours before departure to ensure its validity. Para sa mga pasahero ng international flights na aalis ng Pilipinas, bago magbyahe, kailangang tandaan ang mga ito:

a. Mandatory wearing of face masks

b. Mandatory wearing of face shields - passengers in PAL international (and domestic) flights must wear a face shield, together with a face mask, throughout the flight and inside the airports. The face shield must be of good quality—clear and sturdy with a comfortable fit that covers the entire face.

c. Mandatory temperature checks, use of foot baths, and disinfection/sanitation facilities

d. Mandatory physical and social distancing and minimum contact at all times and in all places within the airport premises, and during all procedures, from check-in, boarding, inflight, disembarking to retrieving of check-in baggage

e. Mandatory public safety announcements before closing of doors and during flight for cabin and health security protocols

f. Strict compliance with safety procedures on handling of suspected/ill passengers on board, which include keeping the last three (3) seat rows of the plane vacant as isolation area for suspected ill passengers already on board

g. Regular sanitation and disinfection of all airline facilities and equipment, and in coordination with the airport authorities, all airport facilities and equipment, including lavatories, frequently touched surfaces, wheelchairs, trolleys, countertops, etc.; Daily first aid stocks available on board the aircraft.

Guide for International Travel Departing from the Philippines

• Secure additional required travel and health documents (including COVID-19 testing as necessary). Please refer to the country requirements posted below and “Mandatory COVID-19 Testing and PAL Testing Partners” for any additional testing requirements of your destination country. As these requirements may change at short notice, the advisories are meant only as a guide.

 

• Undergo a documentation check at the airport for check-in clearance. The documents checker shall assess the completeness and validity of your documents. You may not be able to check in and board the flight if you miss any of the requirements.
