Kaala Trailer: Watch Rajinikanth as Saviour of the Masses

The theatrical trailer of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer gangster drama Kaala was unveiled on Monday. The 90-second clip introduces viewers to Rajinikanth as a saviour of the masses of Mumbai's largest slum, Dharavi. After Kabali, once again Thalaivar dons his gangster avatar with ease as he makes a blockbuster entry.

 

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala is set in the backdrop of Mumbai city and and has an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Sampath, and Samuthirakani in key roles. Touted as one of the biggest Tamil releases, Kaala has been produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush, who shared the trailer on social media, writing, “IT'S FINALLY TIME, #THEKINGARRIVES in style! Presenting to you, our Superstar Rajinikanth's, much anticipated #KAALATrailer. #KingKariKAALAnTrailer #Kaala #कालाकरिकालनJUNE 7 TH WORLDWIDE RELEASE." (sic)

The trailer, which has already gone viral on the internet, also features several whistle-worthy dialogues and a quick cameo of Bollywood star Huma Qureshi. It has already garnered 2.1 million views on YouTube and is expected to break all the records as the superstar has a massive fan following across the globe.

Veteran star Nana patekar is playing the role of a corrupt politician who claims that "anybody who opposes me... will die". The film is set to release worldwide on June 7.
