Luis Figo joins Real Madrid:


One of the best players in the world at that time, Luis Figo was a player of Barcelona. But after a lot of politics done by the current Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Figo joined Barcelona’s rival club Real Madrid. It was the most controversial transfer of all time. Barcelona fans were furious and a pig head was literally thrown at Figo when he went to Camp Nou as a Real Madrid player. There are very few players who have seen the fury of the fans to such extremes.

Chelsea vs Barcelona (UCL Semi Final 2009):

This match is labeled as the most controversial match in UEFA Champions League history. The two giant clubs faced each other at the semi-final of the Champions League. The first leg ended 0-0 at Camp Nou and then Barcelona came to play at Stamford Bridge for the second leg. Micheal Essien took the lead for Chelsea in the first half. Chelsea weas trying to end the game with another goal but it seemed like the referee didn’t want that to happen. The referee Tom Henning denied Chelsea four clear penalty decisions. Barcelona tried to attack one last time at the ending minutes of the game and Iniesta scored a goal, which took Barcelona to the finals on away goals. Ballack was furious and Drogba screamed at the camera after the match had ended. The referee admitted to his mistakes after he was heavily criticized.
