From November 3, IDAM by Alain Ducasse has reopened its stylish outdoor terrace to offer guests a special culinary offering: ‘La Patisserie d’IDAM’.

IDAM by Alain Ducasse has reopened its outdoor terrace to offer guests a special culinary offering, “La Patisserie d’IDAM”.
“Guests can drink in sunset views of Doha’s skyline while enjoying a fine selection of desserts and refreshments. Located at the top floor of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), IDAM’s sophisticated terrace, designed by famed French designer Phillipe Starck, is a great place to enjoy the winter weather and relax with family and friends,” Qatar Museums (QM) said in a press statement.
“La patisserie d’IDAM” offers a wide selection of teas and coffee, a dessert for each guest, a selection of mignardise (pastries), freshly-made mocktails, and still or sparkling water – priced at QR120 for two people.
The restaurant’s terrace will also be open for lunch and dinner, and is available for both private and corporate events.
IDAM’s executive chef Damien Leroux said: “We are looking forward to reopening the terrace this November and extending IDAM’s special ambience.
“The expansive views of Qatar’s turquoise waters, traditional dhow boats, and stunning skyscrapers offer a mesmerising view.
“Our‘La patisserie d’IDAM’, which includes some of IDAM’s signature desserts, elevates the experience further.”
IDAM, which means generosity in Arabic, is Ducasse’s first restaurant in the Middle East.
Ducasse’s culinary creativity and Starck’s unique aesthetic unite to form an exquisite and harmonious homage to the region.
French culinary expertise is fused with classic regional dishes and ingredients to offer guests haute gastronomy.
IDAM’s menu features dishes that champion local ingredients such as camel.
IDAM is operated by IN-Q Enterprises, the commercial arm of QM.
IN-Q Enterprises works to enable QM to achieve its vision: to cultivate artists and creative networks, and promote and sustain the highest standards for community engagement, creativity, and enjoyment in Qatar and beyond.
Along with managing all food and beverage outlets at QM destinations, IN-Q also operates the museum gift shops which showcase many locally-inspired souvenirs and gifts.
“La patisserie d’IDAM” is served every day except Friday (when the restaurant is closed), from 3.30pm-5.30pm.
The cost is QR120 for two people or QR96 (20% discount) for Qatar Museums Culture Pass Plus and Family members, and QR108 (10% discount) for Culture Pass Basic members.
IDAM’s terrace can seat 30 guests, and advanced bookings are recommended.
