Willemstad, Curaçao, October 19, 2026 : HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), attended the General Assembly of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) in Curaçao.
The assembly brought together representatives of National Olympic Committees from across the Caribbean to discuss matters related to the Olympic movement.
Sheikh Joaan’s participation reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the OCA and CANOC, expand partnerships and support the Olympic movement across Asia and the Caribbean.
It also highlights the shared commitment to exchanging expertise and strengthening coordination among National Olympic Committees in both regions.
