Get ready to fly to Neverland as The Doha Players bring Peter Pan back to the stage in a lively pantomime packed with magic, adventure, comedy and music. Running from November 25 to December 12, 2026, the production is set to offer families in Qatar an entertaining live-theatre experience during the festive season.
The show takes place at This Theater in Mesaimeer, Doha, with performances listed from 2:30 PM onwards. Admission is recommended for ages 4 and above, making it an attractive choice for families looking for a fun day out with children.
A High-Energy Journey to Neverland
The story follows the Darling children as Peter Pan whisks them away from home and into the magical world of Neverland. There they meet the mischievous fairy Tink, the Lost Boys and Lost Girls, and the infamous Captain Hook with his pirate crew.
The Doha Players' pantomime version promises much more than a straightforward retelling. Audiences can expect dazzling flying sequences, laugh-out-loud comedy, sword fights, audience participation and musical numbers designed to keep both children and adults involved in the action.
Why This Is More Than Just a Children's Show
Traditional pantomime is built around audience interaction, humour, music and larger-than-life characters. Children are encouraged to react to the action on stage, while parents can enjoy the playful theatrical atmosphere alongside them.
The result is a shared family experience rather than a show where audiences simply sit and watch. From cheering for Peter Pan to reacting to Captain Hook's schemes, the format gives younger theatre-goers a chance to become part of the adventure.
A Long Theatre Tradition in Qatar
The Doha Players have been part of Qatar's English-language theatre scene for decades and have a long tradition of staging pantomimes. Historical accounts of the group note that its annual pantomime has attracted large family audiences, while Peter Pan has previously featured among its Doha productions.
That experience makes the new Peter Pan production particularly appealing for residents who enjoy community theatre or want to introduce children to a live stage performance.
