Dalma Mall just earned the highest CSR recognition the UAE government offers. This honor places the Abu Dhabi retail giant among the country's most responsible organizations.
The mall received the Platinum Impact Seal on July 8, 2026. This federal award recognizes excellence in corporate social responsibility and sustainability across the UAE.
A Historic Ceremony At Qasr Al Watan
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented this landmark award personally. He serves as Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. It coincided with the Cabinet Committee meetings held that same week.
This event also marked something bigger than one company's achievement. Officials used the occasion to launch the UAE Companies for Good 2031 Strategy. This national roadmap aims to build a resilient, sustainable impact economy for years to come.
What The Platinum Impact Seal Actually Represents
Majra, known as the National CSR Fund, issues this seal each year. It stands as the UAE's ultimate federal benchmark for responsible business practice.
Organizations must demonstrate strong Environmental, Social, and Governance performance to qualify. They must also show measurable progress toward United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Every recipient must align its impact with the UAE's broader national priorities too.
This makes the seal far more selective than typical industry awards. It reflects government level recognition rather than a private sector accolade alone.
Dalma Mall's Leadership Responds
Mr. Hamad Jassim Al Darwish accepted the award on behalf of Dalma Mall. He represents leadership across a wide portfolio of major industries.
He credited the achievement to everyone connected to the mall's ecosystem. This includes customers, retailers, retail groups, partners, employees, suppliers, owners, and peers. He specifically thanked the wider UAE community as well.
Al Darwish also shared a broader reflection on what success truly means. He said the real measure of success extends beyond personal or corporate achievement. Lasting impact on communities, the environment, and the nation matters more, he explained.
Why This Recognition Matters For The Region
This award places Dalma Mall within an elite group of national organizations. These companies now lead the UAE's shift toward a responsible, impact-driven economy.
The recognition also signals a broader shift across the retail sector. Shopping destinations increasingly compete on sustainability credentials, not just retail offerings alone. Dalma Mall's win shows how seriously the UAE now treats corporate responsibility.
The Bigger Picture For UAE Businesses
This award arrives alongside a clear national strategy through 2031. The UAE is pushing companies to measure impact with real, credible data.
Expect more organizations to chase similar recognition in coming years. The Platinum Impact Seal now sets a clear national standard for CSR leadership. Dalma Mall's win offers other UAE businesses a benchmark worth studying closely.
