Qatar intercepts Iranian drone and missile strike
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that Qatar was targeted on Sunday, 5 April 2026, by an attack involving several drones and two cruise missiles launched from Iran.
According to the official statement, Qatar’s Armed Forces successfully intercepted all incoming threats, neutralizing both the drones and missiles before they could reach their intended targets. The Ministry stressed that the response was swift and effective, ensuring the safety of the nation and its residents.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting Qatar, its leadership, citizens, and all communities living within the country, underscoring the readiness of defense systems to counter any future threats.
