Qatar's Temperature to drop as low as 10 degrees Celsius

Fresh to strong northwesterly wind that is expected to sweep over Qatar from Sunday night until the end of the week is expected to bring the temperature down to as low as 10°C, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said.

The period will see the maximum temperature hovering between 18°C and 24°C, and the minimum temperature between 10°C and 17°C. The temperature in the southern and outer areas might plunge below 10°C.

The fresh to strong northwesterly wind will blow at a speed ranging between 10 and 20 knotsm gusting to 30 knots at places at times, leading to blowing dust that might decrease horizontal visibility to less than 2 kilometres, especially in open areas.

Offshore, the waves are likely to reach as high as 10 feet, prompting the QMD to issue marine warnings. It called on everyone to be caution and avoid marine activities during the warning period.
