MOJ Cloud Migration

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has completed the cloud migration procedures as part of its digital transformation plan under the umbrella of the strategic partnership that the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), signed with Microsoft a year ago. This aims to establish Microsoft cloud regions in the State, in order to be an approved national platform for cloud computing services for Qatar and the world.

MOJ has completed the procedures for transferring the data of Qatar Legal Portal (Al-Meezan), which is the most comprehensive official legal website for Qatari legislations since 1963 until now, to the Microsoft Cloud computing environment. This happens while the rest of the services are being transferred to the Microsoft Cloud using the latest digital technology, making it available at Azure market platform, and allowing users to access portal services from anywhere in the world.

On this occasion, Mr. Khalid Mohammed Ibrahim, Director of MOJ's the Information Systems Department, said that the cloud transferring plan came within the framework of the Ministry's digital transformation plan, and under the directions of HE Mr. Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri the Minister of Justice, to speed up its procedures. This is in line with the requirements of Qatar Digital Government Strategy and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aim to maximize the returns of knowledge and technology to the State's economy and community development, as he said.
