Croatia Qualify for Qatar 2022 World Cup Finals

Croatia qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar following a 1-0 victory over Russia on Sunday at the end of Group D competitions, in the European qualifiers for the World Cup.

Croatia, which has become the seventh team to reach the World Cup in Qatar, owes its victory thanks to Russian defender Fyodor Kudryashov, who scored in his own goal ten minutes before the final whistle.

Croatia, runner-up for the 2018 World Cup, toped the standing of the group with 23 points from ten matches, one point ahead of the Russian team, who will wait for the opportunity to compensate by playing the European play-off.
