FIFA Arab Cup 2021

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) announced today that FIFA Arab Cup™ fan activations on Corniche Street will end tonight, on December 5, 2021.

On a Twitter post, SC further stated that the road will be fully opened in both directions by 5 am on the 5th of December.

Corniche Street remained closed in both directions for the said tournament. The closure has been in place until 4th of December.

The Qatar International Food Festival continues in Al Bidda Park until 17 December.

Since the FIFA Arab Cup™ kicked-off on November 30, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has announced a host of cultural activations set to redouble the joy of fans during the much-anticipated tournament.

Cultural activations will be located in the last mile area and metro/bus stations near the stadiums, with a total of 200 performances in 60 locations to delight fans throughout the tournament.

Apart from the tournament venues, Doha Corniche will also provide fans a chance to engage in some fun activities, owed to a collaboration between the SC, Qatar Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Katara.

Numerous performances took place on three mini-stages along the Corniche at the Qatar International Food Festival, with performers from local communities that represented the participating teams in the tournament.

The activities on Doha Corniche were open to the public on weekdays from 6 pm to 10 pm and on weekends from 5 pm to 12 am until Friday, December 3.

SC expressed its gratitude to those who used the public transport recently provided to the public. Everyone was encouraged to travel in off-peak times and made use of public transportation during that period.
