Qatar Stock Index Drops 43.83 Points

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 43.83 points at the close of trading on Wednesday. The QE Index stood at 8,427.77 points, 0.52% less than the previous closing of 8,471.60points.


QE Index, which measures the 20 largest and most liquid stocks in the Qatar market, has on a downward trend for over a month. It has seen the lowest point of this year, 8389.50, in Tuesday’s trading. This was also a 52-Week Low point. 

Among the 39 listed companies whose stocks are traded today, 18 gained and 20 companies closed lower with one remaining unchanged. A total of 44 companies are listed on QSE. 

Indices of two sectors, transportation and telecoms, ended in green today and remaining five sectors saw red.
