President of Burkina Faso invites Qatari businessmen to explore investment opportunities

President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore invited Qatari businessmen to explore investment opportunities available in his country, particularly in the fields of mining, construction, roads, agriculture and livestock.


President Kabore had a meeting with Qatari businessmen, wherein he pointed out that investments in his country would be safe and make good profits in his country.

While praising the Qatari leadership’s interest in encouraging Qatari businessmen to invest in Africa, the President pointed out to the government programmes and initiatives adopted by his country for social and economic development, which lead to many investment opportunities that can be seized by Qatari businessmen, as The Peninsula reports.

Ali Abdullatif al-Misnad, a board member of the Qatar Chamber stated that the meeting encourages the business owners of the two countries to strengthen economic and trade co-operation relations and bilateral relations.

He added that Qatari charitable organisations have carried out humanitarian initiatives and implemented numerous projects in the Republic of Burkina Faso, in order to contribute to the provision of the basic needs of citizen, especially in the fields of water, health and income-generating projects.

The level of trade exchange between the two countries is still weak and does not represent the strength of the relations between them, al-Misnad stated.

He further stressed that Qatar Chamber is keen to encourage Qatari businessmen to invest in the African continent because of its promising investment opportunities, given the positive outcomes being witnessed by Qatar in terms of development projects in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
