Issuing a statement on a trending video about Snickers chocolate, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has given a clarification that the video should be considered a rumour since it is old and its contents are not relevant now.

The Ministry pointed out that the video shows something that happened back in 2016 and action was also taken at that time in view of a recall over the possibility of some Snickers bars having plastic pieces in them.

As reported by the Gulf Times, the video in question apparently shows officials in Gaza destroying large quantities of Snickers bars in response to the recall.

It has resurfaced after two years and has been doing the rounds of social media of late, with some people apparently mistaking it for a new development.
