IFIHL hosts 4th Abubakar Mayanja IHL & Islam Moot Court Competition for law students in Uganda

The Islamic Forum for International Humanitarian Law (IFIHL), which is an affiliate of the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent (ICIC), held its fourth Abubakar Mayanja IHL & Islam Moot Court Competition for law students in Uganda.

The two-day competition, organised under the theme ‘Advocacy for Humanitarian Protection through IHL and Islam’, was held at the Females’ Campus Kabojja (Kampala), the Faculty of Law, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

 

As many as 24 students from three law faculties in Mbale, Kampala and Kabojja took part in the competition. 

The IFIHL was represented by Dr Fawzi Oussedik, chairman; Prof Mohamed H Elasbali, director; and Zahra Lafi, executive secretary, as reported by Gulf Times.

The legal proceedings addressed during the competition related to the crimes of genocide, forced disappearance, abduction, rape, sabotage, well poisoning and environmental damage in times of armed conflict.

In addition to his work as Best Buddies ambassador, Brady took some time to relax and take a camel ride with his wife, Gisele Bunchen, and hang out by the pool with their two kids.
