President Rodrigo Duterte III once said that under his administration, he will speed up the documents processing acquired from all government agencies.

A year after getting elected, labor department generated a new system called iDOLE or ID for Department of Labor and Employment.

iDOLE will serve as Overseas Filipino Worker’s (OFW) identification card where their Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) will also be included.

Say added that even former OFWs are welcome to apply for the said ID which is free of charge and valid for 2 years.

Aside from faster access to OECs, the iDOLE is also connected with their Social Security System (SSS) account.

Meanwhile, non-profit organization Blas Ople Center says they support DOLE’s new system but would have to clarify other details as well. The NGO’s President Susan Ople says, “Isang milyon at isang detalye na dapat maipaliwanag sa ordinaryong OFW. Gusto naming equipped din kami para ipaliwanag. Dapat may transition phase yan.

DOLE and other NGOs are set to have a meeting this Monday which will focus on the iDOLE’s security. The iDOLE system is scheduled to be launch this July 2017.
