How often do you tend to practice a proper and hygienic method of storing vegetables in your kitchen? Most people after purchasing veggies, will dump them in the fridge. Just because you have a state-of-the-art refrigerator, it doesn’t mean it will keep your veggies as fresh and clean as possible. Quite a number of fresh foods can spoil too. Here are some great new storage tricks to prevent spoiling and keeping foods fresh for longer.

1 Use tin foil to wrap celery

While plastic wrap is okay for a number of veggies; but the taste and consistency of celery on the other hand can be reduced. Before you refrigerate it, wrap your celery in tin foil instead. You can do the same for lettuce too.

 

2 Store potatoes in a dark area

Sunlight can make potatoes rot faster so avoid keeping them in such areas. Potatoes should be stored in an open wooden or plastic container and kept in dark places. This will keep them fresh longer.
